The rapid acceleration of AI technology has led to a global call for AI governance and ethics. One of the core issues facing the adoption of AI is centered on how to ensure that these advanced technologies can be deployed in a fair and non-biased
way that can serve the betterment of mankind. Currently, there are hundreds of efforts underway globally, working in silos, to standardize around how business and governments can engage in ethical AI practices. AI Governance, Big Data

The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development has set out a new framework for Artificial Intelligence, backed by countries from North and South America to Europe and Asia-Pacific. There are strong principles on fairness, accountability, and transparency, also robustness, security, safety, and inclusive growth. The protection of human rights, the rule of law, and democratic values feature prominently. This presentation explores the significance of the OECD AI Guidelines for national law, business practices, innovation and research, and the future of AI policy. Also of ongoing importance are the Universal Guidelines for AI, the AI World Society Standards, and related policy developments in the United States.
